FIELD EXERCISE WITH OUR PARTNERS
3AM trekked deep into the hills above San Bernardino, California alongside 25 wildland crew members in a simulated exercise to put our FLORIAN platform to the test. Our software, with the help of our partners Microsoft, Dejero, FirstNet, Panasonic, NextNav, Hypha Mesh and Esri, successfully and consistently followed individual participants throughout the event, tracking devices while they were both online and offline (while in LTE-denied environments). Attendees unanimously agreed that 3AM’s ability to seamlessly combine connectivity, online and offline operation and triple-axis tracking capabilities was in a standalone class. 3AM was able to consistently deliver critical data to on-site decision makers and broadcast that information back to central command in real time.

3AM and NextNav Improve First Responder Safety with Vertical Location
Vertical location is a long-standing need in the public safety arena. 2D maps simply can’t deliver the real-time intelligence first responders need in a chaotic emergency scene, particularly in dense urban areas where multi-story structures are the norm. An exercise was simulated to showcase FLORIAN’s ability to track an individual’s Z-axis location in a multi-story structure. 25 SBCF firefighters, 5 engines, one squad, two truck companies and two battalion chiefs participated. By integrating the NextNav Pinnacle service into its patented Florian platform, 3AM Innovations will empower incident commanders with precise vertical location data, improving first responder safety and emergency response outcomes.
Tracking Field Operations in Comms-Denied Areas
3AM trekked deep into the hills above San Bernardino alongside 25 wildland crew members in a simulated exercise to put our FLORIAN platform to the test. This proof-of-concept demonstration set out to measure the accuracy of the platform’s tracking on X and Y axes in a communications-challenged environment. Together with Microsoft, Samsung, Dejero, Kymeta and FirstNet, the crew conducted a live, wildland training hike, broadcasting their locations live from Samsung-provided devices to Microsoft’s Tactical Command Vehicle at the base. Command was able to see in real time any pathways taken by participants, including their scribbles and all geofenced areas they drew on the map.
